If you take our bottles in your hand you can immediately recognize the hills of Tokaj-hegyalja where on its volcanic fields you can find our vineyard. The river Tisza and Bodrog flow there and they embrace this field just like our bottle-labels embrace the bottles. These all create that characteristic and unique microclimate of Tokaj-hegyalja that beneficent results appear in our vine. Owing to these special conditions, the vine Tokaji Aszú is produced that is a rightly recognised vine speciality among the lovers of vine.

Tokaj is even mentioned in our national anthem:

„In the grape fields of Tokaj

You dripped sweet nectar”

Tokaji Furmint 2013 dry

Where is the origin of  the furmint grapes? Still a secret today. Maybe it is from Italy or from Szeremség.

During the 19th century it became one of the most important grapes of Tokaj-Hegyalja. Furmint is a perfect base for the Aszú wines as they can be attacked easily by noble rot resulting a very special crisp, dry whitewine.
The vulcanic soil with rich and deep intense mineral qualities and the long summer of 2013  contributed to have a really nice quality wine.

Its high acidity gives the wine longevity.

Furmint's characteristics are clear, apple, pear and quince and a hint of honey on the nose. The depth of fruit is balanced by its mineral backbone.

Advise: after opening a bottle of Furmint let it stand for a short time untouched so the fruity fragrances can open u pin the wine.
